Birds—My One Weakness

I love this bird plaque. The little birds make me smile with their cute expressions. They seem so happy like they are singing their lovely song for all to hear.

This plaque is a great outdoor piece to enhance your backyard or garden area. I have had mine for awhile and it has weathered well. It is very well made although somewhat heavy since it is constructed of molded concrete. It does come with a very heavy duty hook on the back for hanging. The plaque measures approximately 5 1/2” X 11”.

The company that makes this is Carruth Studio. The product name is Baby Birds Plaque. They have many more exciting things for bird lovers and gardeners on their website.

I am always looking for bird related home decor and this plaque is one of my favorite backyard pieces.

Fill your life with things you love and you will always smile when you see them.

Happy Birdwatching, my friends.

How Could I Forget??

I just realized my beaded owl is feeling left out since he was not included in my “Give A Hoot” post.

He is beautifully crafted and looks as though he could hoot out an owl call at any given moment.

He adds a nice touch to all my other bird related home decor, standing tall and watching over things from the bookshelf in the living room. I’m sure if he could talk, he would have some interesting stories to tell.

He was a gift given to me by a family member, for one of my many birthdays, I do believe. I can’t remember and it doesn’t really matter when it was.

What does matter is how it’s a perfect gift for me because of my passion for birds. It’s so wonderful to receive a very thoughtful gift knowing the person giving it truly knows your likes and dislikes and goes to great lengths to find that special gift that means so much.

I hope your day is filled with thoughtfulness towards others and to our beautiful birds as well, both real and crafted.

Happy Birdwatching, my friends.

Give A Hoot

Happy November Everyone!

The cooler fall air has brought the screech owls to the neighborhood nesting boxes.

Also, this little guy was seen in my son’s backyard in North Central Texas.

Since I don’t have any owl sightings of my own, thought I would share my cute home decor owl collection in honor of the owls arriving.
